'Reigate' Rocking Chair & Footrest by William Plunkett
Stunning Reigate Rocking Chair by British designer William Plunkett with matching footrest. Designed in 1968, it won the Design Center Award same year and can be seen in the collection of V&A in London.
The frame is in its original white colour, not touched. All Pirelli rubber webbing has been changed, as most were broken or missing. I have had all the upholstery refurbished and reupholstered, which includes new inside foam and fabric from Vescom. All the upholstery is done exactly as original, reused the old leather straps that hold everything in place and all pillows fit perfect on both chair and footrest. Invisible zips added to all upholstery, giving the option to wash them in low temperature if needed.
