Vintage Pair of Tsugaru-nuri Urushi Lacquerware Coasters from Aomori Japan Early/Mid 20th Century
Beautiful pair of Tsugaru-nuri lacquerware coasters famous for being made in the Aomori prefecture of Japan. The production takes several months from start to finish as the artisans has to apply several layers of lacquerware and sanding in-between each to achieve this particular finish.
Good condition overall, nice sheen. One minor scratch to one barely visible (hard to capture in images).

Roughly 9x9cm each, 1cm thickness
