Beautiful Vintage Japanese Handcrafted 'Kabazaiku' Cherry Bark Tea Caddy C.1960
Beautiful traditional handmade Kabazaiku cherry bark tea caddy from Japan complete with tea spatula.
These items are handmade using only the bark from the Japanese cherry tree's, which are then carefully put together with a neutral glue with the use of applying pressure & heat.
Kabazaiku tea containers are famous due to their ability to absorb humidity inside the container and keep the caddy airtight, allowing for the tee leaves to stay fresh for a much longer period of time.
In overall good condition, small imperfection to the side of the lid as seen in the last image.
