Iconic Orange KD27 Table Lamp by Joe Colombo for Kartell / Husqvarna C.1970
'Joe Colombo (1930–1971) was a visionary Italian designer and architect. Known for his futuristic, modular, and pop-culture-infused work, he defined 1960s space-age design with plastic furniture, multi-functional living units, and bold organic shapes before his untimely death at age 41.'
During the 1960s Italian manufacturer Kartell cleverly outsourced the majority of their production of their ABS plastic projection moulded range of products to reach a wider market and to save on international shipping costs and fee's.
This specific KD27 table lamp was made under that original license for Kartell by Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna.
In overall good condition, small flaw to the inside plastic mount holding the bulb mount (can be seen in pictures). This does not affect the function of the lamp and it all works 100% as it should.
