'Eero Aarnio (born July 21, 1932) is a Finnish designer known for his innovative and often playful furniture designs, particularly his use of plastic and fiberglass in the 1960s. He studied at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki and shortly after graduating, he started working for Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara, who designed for the furniture brand Asko. In 1962, Aarnio got his own studio in Helsinki. Around the same time, he started experimenting with plastic, the material for which he would become famous. Aarnio established his own design firm, producing iconic pieces like the Ball Chair, Bubble Chair, and Pastil Chair.'
Overall the chairs are in very good condition, considering their age. One out of the 8 chairs has a small hairline crack on the top of the backrest.
